Who we are and how to contact us

Lambda-Phi JobOps ("JobOps") is provided by Lambda-Phi of San Jose, California. Questions about this policy and privacy requests go through the Lambda-Phi contact form.

Information JobOps may handle

Depending on the features you use, JobOps may handle account and contact information; invitation and subscription information; résumé, career, preference, application, role, and job-search information; communications and support content; information from third-party accounts or services you choose to connect; transaction and entitlement information; notification information; and device, browser, network, usage, interaction, diagnostic, security, fraud-prevention, and analytics information. The categories may change as JobOps adds, removes, or changes features.

Connected accounts and services

If you connect a third-party account or service, JobOps may receive and process information that the connection makes available under the permissions you authorize. JobOps uses connected-service information to provide, personalize, operate, secure, support, and improve the user-facing features associated with that connection. Third-party accounts remain subject to their own terms, policies, permissions, availability, and charges.

JobOps may connect to email, calendar, and other communication services you choose to use. The information available through those connections and the features JobOps can provide depend on the service, connection method, and permissions you authorize. Email data may include message content, senders and recipients, subject lines, dates, labels, and drafts. Calendar data may include event titles, times, and locations. JobOps uses this data to organize and classify mail, track job-search activity, prepare unsent drafts, and read or create calendar events according to the features and settings you enable. JobOps does not submit applications or send external messages on your behalf.

Connected-account information and related job-search records may be stored and processed by Lambda-Phi and service providers acting on our behalf to provide those features, with retention and security as described below.

If JobOps receives information through Google Workspace APIs, the email and calendar data described above is accessed, used, stored, and shared for those connected features in accordance with the Google Workspace User Data and Developer Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Those provider-specific restrictions govern that data, including its retention and any transfer to service providers or other parties, even where this policy permits broader uses or disclosures of other information.

How JobOps uses information

Lambda-Phi may use information to provide, operate, administer, personalize, maintain, support, secure, analyze, test, improve, and develop JobOps and its user-facing features; process invitations and subscriptions; prepare or carry out actions you request; communicate with you; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues; troubleshoot and investigate problems; enforce terms and policies; comply with law; protect Lambda-Phi and others; and support business operations and transactions.

Cookies, storage, and measurement

JobOps may use cookies, local storage, logs, analytics tools, software development kits, identifiers, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, functionality, security, fraud prevention, measurement, attribution, experimentation, diagnostics, analytics, and product improvement. These technologies may be provided by Lambda-Phi or service providers. Where applicable law requires notice, consent, or an opt-out choice, we will provide the required mechanism.

Service providers and other disclosures

Lambda-Phi may disclose information to affiliates, contractors, service providers, professional advisers, and other parties as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, support, analyze, improve, or develop JobOps and the business. We may also disclose information at your direction, to comply with law or legal process, to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with financing, due diligence, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of assets. Connected-service data may be subject to additional restrictions imposed by that service's terms or policies.

Payments and subscriptions

If you purchase paid access, payment and transaction information may be processed by payment service providers. Lambda-Phi may receive and retain information about the transaction, subscription, entitlement, billing status, and related references as reasonably necessary to administer the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and keep business records.

Communications

Lambda-Phi may communicate with you about invitations, accounts, authentication, subscriptions, transactions, product activity, support, security, policy or product changes, and other service matters. Where permitted by law, Lambda-Phi may also send product or marketing communications and will provide any choices required by applicable law.

Retention

Lambda-Phi retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including service operation and support, security, fraud prevention, analytics, product improvement, legal and compliance obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement, and business records. Retention periods vary by information type and context. Backups, archives, deidentified information, and records needed for legal, security, or business purposes may be retained where permitted by law.

Your choices and requests

You can choose whether to use optional connections and can use available account or provider controls to change or revoke permissions. Privacy rights vary by location and applicable law. Submit privacy questions or requests through the Lambda-Phi contact form. We may need to verify a request and may retain or decline to delete information where applicable law permits or requires it. We handle valid requests as required by applicable law.

Security

Lambda-Phi uses reasonable measures designed to protect information. No storage, processing, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes

Lambda-Phi may update this policy as JobOps, its practices, connected services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Questions and requests go through the Lambda-Phi contact form.
